To our many friends: Hello again and welcome to our 2008 Truck Engine Training Calendar! Debbie, Roger and myself have been working diligently to review feedback from our 2007 program and used that feedback to make appropriate changes to the system thanks to your comments. Changes for 2008 include the addition of a Service Writer certification program, Medium Duty 2007 Acert class for our Ford and GMC dealers and some preventative maintenance courses for our customers. We are also changing over to a subscription based training system for our authorized TEPS dealers – more on this to follow. Finally, I would like to emphasize something that gets overlooked by many Service Departments. Failure Analysis training assists our technicians with their troubleshooting skills and more importantly, instructs them on searching for "root cause" of failures. Many dealers comment to me about reimbursements via warranty for excessive troubleshooting time. Failure analysis classes will help reduce this time by teaching a more logical and tactical approach to looking at a failure and determining how it occurred. Remember that all of our training classes are developed to help our technicians work smarter and ultimately save you more money!
